Cicil Engineering end-of-term students as well as alumni from the Santo Domingo Technological Institute (INTEC) will be able to carry out practical sessions at Grupo Therrestra, a company specialized in offering design, development and oversight of tourist, residential and commercial projects in the Dominican Republic and in the Caribbean.

The internship program is comprised within a framework agreement, underwritten between the INTEC provost, Rolando M. Guzmán, and the Grupo Therrestra Founder & CEO, Hugo Pérez Ovalles, where both entities agreed to jointly develop educational-scientific action plans, aimed to promoting better-educated students.

“Half of Therrestra’s talent is composed of INTEC alumni; these are all excellent professionals, skilled not only academically but also professionally, so it seemed natural to reach an agreement with the university”, so said, Therrestra CEO, Hugo Pérez Ovalles on an emotional note.

Meanwhile, the INTEC Provost, stressed that the academic entity is closely-tied to all local productive sector, and stakes every day towards training human capital that bolsters the nation’s competitiveness and productive forces.

The framework agreement includes joint-research projects, participation in seminars, training and scholarship programs, among others. Therrestra’s practice sessions will be carried out on-site in different Therrestra projects held in the Dominican Republic and throughout the Caribbean.
