Grupo Therrestra gives donation to the Cibao Rehabilitation Trust, through its Moca branch

Grupo Therrestra delivered its contribution to the Patronato Cibao de Rehabilitación (*The Cibao Rehabilitation Trust) through its Moca Branch, in the telethon hosted by the former, set on raising funds so the organization can continue offering its rehabilitation services to the most sensitive sectors of the municipality.
“Honoring our commitment with society, we engage in ensuring the continued development and services that the Trust offers the community”, so expressed Hugo Pérez Ovalles, Therrestra CEO.

The telethon, which is hosted annually on Televiaducto, Channel 58 in Moca, raised a total of RD$1.3MM this time, so that this health facility can continue to optimize its rehabilitation services.

Grupo Therrestra underwrites agreement with the Centro de Desarrollo Integral Educare in Moca

Therrestra CEO, Hugo Pérez Ovalles, signed a framework agreement with the headmistress of the Centro de Desarrollo Integral Educare, Olga Espaillat, where all cooperation methods to benefit and drive learning in students were presented.

Mr. Pérez Ovalles stressed the importance of learning, and the efforts required during your schooling years -elementary, high school and college- to face forward a competitive labor market. “It is important that students know early on the challenges that await them as they grow. I want them to know they have an ally in Therrestra for their professional development”, Pérez Ovalles stated.

All high-school students in the center, have been favored in the past, thanks to several contributions made by Therrestra, confirming the agreement is just a legal framework to confirm all the long-lasting work done by the construction company.

Grupo Therrestra contributes with renovations for the Moca rehabilitation and correctional facility.

Aiming to renovate and improve the facilities hosting the La Isleta Correctional Facility and Rehabilitation Center in Moca (CCR), Therrestra contributed with the renovations of several of its structures.

The correctional facility, thanks to its reinsertion model, is the #1 penitentiary facility nationwide, featuring 680 inmates, and approximate headcount of 180 employees.

Therrestra representatives, Angel Paulino and Beatriz García, alongside media personality and deputy mayor of Moca, Judith Valdez, partook in the formal event, alongside Albin Lantigua, representative of Pinturas Tropical, whom also contributed with the renovations.

The CCR warden, Bernardo Henríquez, thanked all for the donations and showed their support towards the center’s new phase.

Therrestra sponsors activity “A Day of Painting”

Therrestra sponsors activity “Un día Pintando” (*Spanish for:”A day of painting”), coordinated by Berky Pineda, director of the Fundación Casita de Sueños (*Little House of Dreams Foundation).

Tens of children participated in this activity, whose goal is to motivate artistic expression and development by painting. At the event, representing Therrestra were Albert Moscoso and Judith Valdez, whom delivered a financial contribution to help further the development of the children in the area.

GRUPO THERRESTRA AND DEPUTY MAYOR JUDITH VALDEZ RENDER A “TRIBUTE TO MOTHERS”

During the meeting held in the Estancia Infantil Don Rafael Ramos, featuring the attendance of 45 mothers. Dr. Natascha Morera served as special guest, by hosting a special forum on skincare, and rewarded several women with a goodies bag full of skincare products.

Empowerment dynamics and recognitions to different mothers in our town, as well as delivery of gifts such as beds, stoves and washing machines to mothers of low-income households.

Another meeting took place in Guauci, in the Los Ciguitos district, featuring the attendance of over 50 mothers whom received advice from psychotherapist Paola Grullón, principal at the Centro Educativo Andamios, whom also hosted a space titled “How to manage your children”, and interacted with the attending public.

Also, doctor’s visits were made to mothers in need; such in the case of Angela González, mother of two girls, both of them leukemia patients and suffering from special motor skill development conditions; González was aided with medication and food.

Mrs. Minga is a special mother residing in the La Española district; she was awarded with a fan.

Mrs. Maria Balbuena Mayún, a visually-impaired mother of five (5) children, resides in Los López, and she was awarded with a queen-size bed.’

Luz María Sosa is a mother of three (3); she resides in Las Flores and was also awarded with a bed on occasion of Mother’s Day Celebration.

María Concepción Gómez lives on Calle Corazón de Jesus; she is a mother of two, and she received a stove.

Paula Diloné is a native from Monte de la Jagua, and she won a washing machine.

Carmen García resides in las Flores, and she won a stovetop.

All mothers also received other goodies such as: Supra Intimate Douche, cookware kits by Plásticos Bellín and Agroindustrial Wilse.
